1906–1979
Mansell Herbert Moore, son of Edgar Korah Moore (1874–1914) and Nellie Sophia Jones (1882–1954), was born in Markham, Ontario on December 30, 1906.
He married Blanche Isabel Price in Toronto on July 25, 1936. For information about their family, please refer to her page on this website.
Red died in Rama, Ontario on Jun 7, 1979 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery in Toronto.
Notes
Red Moore was a talented athlete, both amateur and professional. He excelled at football, hockey, and softball, as can be seen from the newspaper clippings below.
In 1929, he signed a three-year contract with the Toronto Millionaires of the International Hockey League. Unfortunately, it appears that the team folded the following year, in 1930.
